Me on Digg - Where are you?
Map of the Digg Community - Interactive Data Visualization by Brian Shaler
Similar to the Opte Project's maps of the internet and Matthew Hurst's map of the blogosphere, this map of the Digg community shows the "connectedness" of Digg's users. Type in your user name to see if you were popular enough to be included on the map. If so, a pointer will indicate where on the map you are located.

An accuate map of the Digg community would be a semi-circle, or a segment of a circle. Digg goes into extraordinary detail on some fields of human activity, while others do not show up on their radar screen at all.
It is also interesting that the Digg Map only shows up to Sept 2006.
I was surprised to see so few new users, too. The map was collected using a method that finds people who USE the friendship functionality on Digg. It seems like few people who have registered on Digg in the last 6 months know of or use the feature.
