How Not to Bring a Child Into the World


When Nyree Thompson, who is nine months pregnant, felt pains in her belly, she assumed they were gas pains. Grinding away at the penny slots at an Atlantic City casino, she thought nothing of it. Then, when her water broke, she thought maybe she should summon help, which she did. Soon there after, a small baby boy was born right on the casino floor. One casino exec, who probably wishes he could take it back, commented ‘Well, we’ve had lots of people die here, but never anyone born here’. Nice.
